My name is Ruthie Westmeier.  I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is currently practicing in Queens, NY.  I have been involved in  Counseling for more than 15 years.  I started out with family counseling in the Jackson County Courts in Kansas City, MO.  The focus was on families who had lost control of their teenagers.  Then in 1997 I moved to Puerto Rico where I started a private practice and taught Social Work at the University of Turabo.  In 2000, I moved to Tibet where I taught English for two years.  I then moved to where I currently live.  I started working in a  Clinic for children and adolescents and then in 2004 I opened up my own office in Forest Hills.  I am also working with my brother,  who is planting a church, New Life Christian Center.

I started this blog to share some of the insights and little vignettes that God has given me across the years, in my counseling, interacting with friends and family and in general living life.  For those who are wondering about the title of this blog you can go to my first entry here.
